There were
fresh Blueberries at the grocery store and it was a cold night (yes, even at
the end of June!) so we were thinking a whiskey drink. Tena found this recipe. I wondered, Blueberries, Basil, and
whiskey? It was really, really good!
8-10 Basil
Leaves
Ice
4 oz Whiskey,
in this case Tin Cup
2 oz Maple
Syrup (from Maine of course!)
Juice from 1
Lemon
Place heavy glass Highball glasses in the freezer for 2-3 hours.
Muddle Blueberries and basil in a shaker, then fill it with ice. Add Whiskey, Maple syrup and lemon juice. Shake until the outside of the shaker is cold. Pour into the glasses. Garnish with fresh blueberries.
It didn’t
look like much but man, it was good!!
